SCI Ontario's mission is to assist people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence, self reliance and full community participation. They were formerly known as "Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario", and were founded after WWII by vets with spinal cord injuries. Their site serves as a vehicle for education and outreach and increasingly is being used to assist other communication channels within the organization.
We worked with SCI Ontario from March 2008 until 2018, hosting and developing three sites: their public site, an intranet for staff communications, and a public policy site.
The intranet was particularly interesting, including some custom coding to provide interactive opportunities for the staff to communicate with each other in creative ways.
